Our Mission
Our family interest in Tiny Houses developed seriously over 5 years ago, when we began to research and develop our first production prototype – Taha Tiny Homes, Tiny House Maxx. With our own family in mind, we recognised the need for an affordable, well-constructed mobile Tiny House as a solution to help young New Zealanders get on the property ladder, an income stream if rented out, being able to live on site if building, a holiday home etc.
After 18 months of development work in our purpose-built factory on our lifestyle block in rural West Auckland, our Taha Tiny Home Maxx was completed.
Bryan’s 40 years experience in the building and construction industry, both here and overseas, along with his original training as a Carpenter Joiner, we believe, has resulted in creating homes which would sit comfortably in either an urban or rural environment, with high-end interior finishes and a great sense of spaciousness in a small footprint. Our Tiny Homes have been designed from the ground up, using the latest in materials technology and smart innovative design, to deliver;
The Maxx with 32 m2 of living space split over two levels, and
The Luxx with 23m2 on one level, (plus additional storage loft of over 9m2), with our own show home fitted with solar panels and smart house control, capable of being fully off-grid.
Our Taha Tiny Homes fit the criteria of a vehicle, similar to a caravan or RV. They are homes that can be moved at any-time, on any road throughout NZ and are able to be towed by a domestic vehicle (capable of pulling 3.5tonnes), on a standard car licence.
